Our story
Learn how East London Children's Hospice began and where we're headed
Our Founders
ELCCH was co-founded by our CEO Paul Richards and Community Director Kareema Motala.
Together they work with our partner providers in delivering our innovative community focused virtual model
Kareema is an East Mum and parent-carer, and a trained barrister. Kareema's son, Jayden has Lowe syndrome and a life-limiting condition.
Paul Richards, also a bereaved parent, is former CEO at Richard House Children's Hospice and former Deputy Chairman at Demelza Hospice Care for Children.

The care gap we're addressing in East London
We're working to address a critical care gap in East London where families struggle to access support. These figures illustrate the scale of the challenge we're addressing.
Children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions
North East London boroughs without a single care pathway
Families losing access to vital support
